Position Overview

As a Music Festival Director, you will lead all aspects of festival development from concept to completion, including talent booking coordination, operations, vendor management, sponsorship execution, budgeting, staffing, guest experience, and long-term growth strategy.

You will work directly with ownership, talent teams, venues, cities, sponsors, promoters, and production partners to create profitable and memorable events.

What You’ll Do

Festival Leadership

• Lead planning and execution of music festivals from start to finish

• Build annual growth strategy and long-term brand vision

• Develop festival themes, audience positioning, and expansion plans

• Manage internal departments and external partners

Talent & Programming

• Coordinate artist booking strategy with agency teams

• Build balanced lineups and schedule stages

• Oversee artist hospitality, credentials, and backstage flow

• Manage performance timelines and production needs

Operations & Logistics

• Oversee site plans, ingress/egress, parking, security, sanitation, medical, staffing, and permits

• Coordinate production vendors, staging, lighting, audio, fencing, and infrastructure

• Build contingency plans for weather and emergencies

Revenue Growth

• Drive sponsorship sales and premium partnerships

• Oversee vendor booth sales and concessions opportunities

• Help maximize ticket sales, VIP upgrades, and merch revenue

• Manage budgets, forecasts, and profitability

Guest Experience

• Improve fan experience, crowd flow, amenities, and branding touchpoints

• Ensure a safe, exciting, and professional environment

• Build repeat attendance and community loyalty
